PumpsWe stock two basic types of pumps. The first is diaphragm pumps which are self priming and maintain pressure in your plumbing system, which is controlled by an internal pressure switch. The second type of pump are the noticeably cheaper ones, and these are centrifugal pumps. There is no built in pressure switch, so these need to be controlled by switches built in to the tap, a foot switch, or even to switch on with a room light. These pumps will not stall, so can continue to run, even though the tap is closed.
