Our Firestone CoilRite systems are the same arrangement as offered by most of the UK motorhome accessory stores. Yes they are marketed under different names, but at the end of the day, most are Firestone!
The company who make these, is Firestone, the same firm who make the road tires! These kits are made in the USA.
As with all our semi air suspension systems, Air bellows hugely increase straight-line stability on motorways, strong sideway winds and while being overtaken by big vehicles. They enable you to, stiffen the back end suspension by increasing the air pressure alleviating any dropping of the rear suspension due to awry or over loading, and allowing the vehicles ride height to be kept on the level. Body roll on roundabouts and at the same time cornering is also reduced and the van ride is greatly improved.
Some firm fit air assisted suspension units to restore the rear traveling height of their motorhome. Unlike normal vans, motorhomes are always greatly laden, especially if additional back end racks are retrofitted to hold bikes etc. so the back end springs do sag after a spell. These units will pick up the travel height, however everyone who has had air assisted suspension systems fitted to their vehicles all say they are also impressed with the added benefits of restored ride, more comfortable cornering and being decreasingly noticeable to side way winds and buffering by large lorries.. |
