Our Firestone Air suspension systems are the same system as offered by some of the UK motorhome embellishment stores. Yes pneumatic air assistance kits are marketed under various brands, but at the end of the day, most are Firestone!
The body who make these, is Firestone, the same firm who make the tyres! These kits are assembled in the USA.
As with all our semi air suspension kits, they greatly increase straight-line stability on motorways, strong cross winds and when being overtaken by heavy vehicles. Pneumatic air assit kits enable you to, stiffen the rear suspension by increasing the air pressure alleviating any dropping of the rear suspension due to incorrect or over loading, and allowing the vehicles traveling height to be kept on the flat. Body roll on roundabouts and even when cornering is increasingly decreased and the truck ride is much revived.
Most people fit air assisted suspension units to restore the rear ride height of their motorhome. Unlike normal vans, motorhomes are always positively laden, chiefly if additional rear racks are upgraded to hold bikes etc. so the rear springs do sag after a bit. These units will restore the ride height, however any one who has had air assisted suspension systems fitted to their trucks all say they are mostly impressed with the added benefits of softer running, improved cornering and being less prone to lateral winds and buffering by monstrous heavy goods vehicles.. |
