Our Firestone Suspension kits are the same system as offered by most of the UK motorhome accessory retailer. Yes they are marketed under various names, but at the end of the day, most are Firestone!
The company who make these, is Firestone, the same people who bring about the tyres! These kits are manufactored in the USA.
As with all our semi air suspension systems, they greatly increase straight-line stability on motorways, sturdy cross winds and when being overtaken by heavy vehicles. They facilitate you to, stiffen the rear suspension by increasing the air P.S.I. alleviating any sagging of the rear suspension due to imperfect or over loading, and allowing the vehicles ride height to be kept on the level. Truck sway on roundabouts and when manoeuvring is also decreased and the general ride is much improved.
Most people fit air support suspension units to restore the rear driving height of their caravanette. Unlike normal vans, motorhomes are always fully laden, especially if additional back end frames are uprated to carry tandems etc. so the rear springs do sag after a while. These units will restore the ride height, however everybody who has had air assist suspension systems retrofitted to their vehicles all say they are also impressed with the added benefits of improved running, improved manoeuvring and being less prone to side ward winds and buffering by colossal H.G.V's.. |
