Our Firestone DriveRite systems are the same system as retailed by most of the UK motorhome accessory garages. Yes they are marketed under various pseudonyms, but at the end of the day, most are Firestone!
The company who make these, is Firestone, the same firm who make the tyres! These kits are assembled in the USA.
As with all our semi air suspension systems, Air springs greatly build-up straight-line stability on motorways, forceful cross winds and when being overtaken by long vehicles. They achieve you to, firm up the rear suspension by raising the air pressure alleviating any sagging of the rear suspension due to incorrect or profound loading, and allowing the freight driving height to be kept level. Body roll on roundabouts and when cornering is also curtailed and the general traveling is much improved.
Most people fit air assisted suspension units to put back the rear ride height of their motorhome. Unlike commonplace vans, motorhomes are commonly abuntantly laden, especially if additional rear racks are fitted to carry bicycles etc. so the rear springs do sag after a while. These units will restore the ride height, contra any person who has had air assisted suspension systems aided to their vehicles all say pneumatic air assit kits are also impressed with the greater improvements of improved ride, restored cornering and being less prone to side winds and buffering by large lorries.. |
