Our Firestone DriveRite systems are the same system as offered by most of the UK motorhome accessory stores. Yes they are marketed under various banners, but at the end of the day, most are Firestone!
The body who make these, is Firestone, the same firm who make the tyres! These kits are manufactored in the USA.
As with all our semi air suspension systems, they greatly boost straight-line stability on motorways, strong cross winds and even when being overtaken by heavy vehicles. Semi air suspensions enable you to, stiffen the rear suspension by increasing the air pressure alleviating any droping of the rear suspension due to incorrect or excess loading, and allowing the vehicles ride height to be maintained level. Body sway on roundabouts and when cornering is mainly decreased and the general driving is much improved.
Most people fit air assisted suspension systems to restore the rear end running height of their motorhome. Dis-similarly normal vans, motorhomes are always thouroughly laden, in particularly if accessory rear racks are fitted to carry wheels etc. so the rear springs do sag after a bit. These units will make good the ride height, however everyone who has had air assisted suspension systems fitted to their lorries all say pneumatic air assistance kits are also impressed with the added benefits of improved running, more comfortable cornering and being less liable to side winds and buffering by large HGV's.. |
