Our Firestone DriveRite systems are the same system as offered by most of the UK motorhome accessory shops. Yes they are marketed with many aliass, but at the end of the day, most are Firestone!
The guys who make these, is Firestone, the same people who construct the wheel tires! These kits are manufactored in the USA.
As with all our semi air suspension systems, they greatly increase straight-line stability on motorways, strong cross winds and while being overtaken by heavy vehicles. They enable you to, stiffen the rear suspension by increasing the air pressure alleviating any sagging of the rear suspension due to incorrect or over loading, and allowing the vehicles ride height to be kept elevated. Motorhome lean on roundabouts and when cornering is increasingly decreased and the general ride is much improved.
Most people fit air assisted suspension units to restore the rear end ride height of their motorhome. Unlike normal vans, motorhomes are eternally fully laden, especially if added rear bike frames are fitted to carry bicycles etc. so the rear suspension system do sag after a bit. These units do bring back the ride height, however everyone who has had air assisted suspension packages fitted to their vehicles all say pneumatic assistors are also impressed with the added benefits of improved driving, improved cornering and being less vulnerable to side ward winds and buffeting by large lorries.. |
