Our Firestone Coil-Rite systems are the same system as ofered by most of the UK motorhome accessory stores. Yes they are marketed under varring banners, but at the end of the day, most are Firestone!
The company who generate these, is Firestone, the same people who make the road tires! These kits are manufactored in the USA.
As with all our semi air suspension systems, they enormously increase straight-line stability on motorways, strong sideways winds and when being overtaken by long artics. They enable you to, stiffen the rear suspension by increasing the air pressure remedying any sagging of the rear suspension due to abominable or over loading, and allowing the vehicles ride height to be kept level. Body roll on roundabouts and when cornering is also reduced and the general ride is much improved.
Most people fit air assisted suspension systems to restore the rear ride height of their motorhome. Unlike commonplace vans, motorhomes are always greatly laden, especially if optional rear racks are fitted to carry bikes etc. so the rear springs do sag after a while. These systems will restore the ride height, however everyone who has had air assisted suspension systems fitted to their vehicles all say they are mainly impressed with the added rewards of revived ride, improved cornering and being less liable to cross winds and buffering by large lorries.. |
