Our Firestone Air suspension kits are the same system as offered by most of the UK motorhome accessory stores. Yes they are marketed under many names, but at the end of the day, most are Firestone!
The body who make these, is Firestone, the same people who make the tyres! These kits are manufactored in the USA.
As with all our semi air suspension accessories, pneumatic air assitance hugely increase straight-line stability on motorways, hardy cross winds and when being overtaken by heavy freight trucks. They empower you to, stiffen the back end suspension by increasing the air pressure alleviating any sagging of the rear suspension due to incorrect or over loading, and allowing the vehicles ride height to be kept level. Body roll on corners and when cornering is increasingly decreased and the overall ride is much improved.
Most people fit air assisted suspension units to restore the rear ride height of their caravanette. Unlike normal vans, motorhomes are always fully laden, predominantly if additional back end racks are fitted to support bikes etc. so the rear springs do sag after a while. These units will restore the traveling height, however everybody who has had air assist suspension kits aided to their vehicles all say they are also impressed with the increased rewards of improved ride, improved turning and being less prone to side winds and buffering by large trucks.. |
