Our Firestone Coil-Rite systems are the same system as offered by most of the UK motorhome enrichment stores. Yes they are marketed under various names, but at the end of the day, most are Firestone!
The company who make these, is Firestone, the same firm who make the tyres! These kits are manufactored in the USA.
As with all our semi air suspension systems, they amply increase straight-line stability on motorways, strong cross winds and when being overtaken by heavy trucks. They enable you to, stiffen the rear suspension by increasing the air P.S.I. alleviating any sagging of the rear suspension due to incorrect or over loading, and allowing the lorries traveling height to be kept level. Body lurch on roundabouts and when cornering is also decreased and the truck ride is much improved.
Most people fit air assisted suspension units to restore the back end ride height of their camper. Unlike commonplace vans, motorhomes are always fully laden, especially if additional rear bike frames are fitted to support tricycles etc. so the back end springs do sag after a bit. These units will restore the driving height, however everyone who has had air support suspension systems adapted to their lorries all say they are also impressed with the added benefits of restored traveling, improved cornering and being less prone to side winds and buffering by large heavy goods vehicles.. |
