As with all our semi air suspension systems, pneumatic assistors greatly increase straight-line stability on motorways, strong cross winds and when being overtaken by heavy vehicles. They enable you to, stiffen the rear suspension by increasing the air pressure alleviating any sagging of the rear end suspension due to incorrect or over loading, and allowing the vehicles travel height to be kept on the flat. Body roll on roundabouts and even when cornering is also decreased and the camper van ride is much improved.
Most people fit air assisted suspension units to restore the rear ride height of their motorhome. Unlike normal vans, campervans are always fully weighed down, especially if additional rear bike racks are rigged to carry velocipedes etc. so the back spring do sag after a while. These units will put back the ride height, how ever everyone who has had air assisted suspension accessories up-graded to their freight trucks all say pneumatic air assit kits are also impressed with the added benefits of more comfortable traveling, improved cornering and being less prone to sideway winds and buffering by large lorries.. |
