Our Firestone DriveRite systems are the same system as offered by some of the UK motorhome accessory retailer. Yes they are retailed under specific brands, but at the end of the day, most are Firestone!
The company who make these, is Firestone, the same people who make the wheel tires! These kits are created in the USA.
As with all our semi air suspension systems, they greatly increase straight-line stability on motorways, strong cross winds and when being overtaken by heavy vehicles. They enable you to, stiffen the back end suspension by increasing the air pressure alleviating any sagging of the rear suspension due to incorrect or over loading, and allowing the vehicles ride height to be kept level. Van roll on round abouts and even when manoeuvring is also minimalised and the general ride is much improved.
Most people fit air assisted suspension units to restore the rear ride height of their motor home. Dissimilarly normal vans, motorhomes are always fully weighted, predominantly if spare back racks are fitted to carry tandems etc. so the rear springs do sag after a while. These units do restore the ride height, never the less everyone who has had air assisted suspension packages rigged to their vehicles all say they are also impressed with the added benefits of improved ride, more comfortable manoeuvring and being less prone to side winds and buffering by large lorries.. |
