Our Firestone Coil-Rite systems are the same system as offered by most of the UK motorhome component stores. Yes Air springs are marketed under various names, but at the end of the day, most are Firestone!
The company who make these, is Firestone, the same people who make the tyres! These kits are manufactored in the USA.
As with all our semi air suspension systems, they greatly increase straight-route stability on motorways, strong cross winds and when being overtaken by heavy busses. They enable you to, stiffen the rear suspension by increasing the air pressure correcting any drooping of the rear suspension due to incorrect or profound loading, and allowing the freight ride height to be kept level. Body sway on round abouts and even when cornering is moreover decreased and the general ride is much improved.
Most company fit air assisted suspension units to improve the rear travel height of their motorhome. Unlike normal vans, motorhomes are always fully laden, chiefly if additional rear end racks are fitted to support top boxes etc. so the rear springs do sag after a while. These units will restore the traveling height, for all that everyone who has had air assisted suspension units fitted to their vehicles all say pneumatic air assitance kits are also impressed with the added rewards of improved ride, improved cornering and being decreasingly prone to side winds and buffering by large trucks.. |
