Our Firestone DriveRite systems are the same system as supplied by most of the UK caravanette accessory stores. Yes they are marketed under varring names, but at the end of the day, most are Firestone!
The company who make these, is Firestone, the same people who make the tyres! These kits are manufactored in the USA.
As with all our semi air suspension systems, they greatly build up straight-line driving stability on motorways, hardy cross winds and when being overtaken by huge vehicles. They enable you to, strengthen the rear suspension by increasing the air pressure alleviating any sagging of the back end suspension due to incorrect or over loading, and allowing the trucks driving height to be maintained level. Body roll on corners and even when cornering is also decreased and the general ride is much restored.
Most people fit air assisted suspension systems to pick up the rear ride height of their motorhome. Dis-similarly common vans, motorhomes are generally fully laden, exceptionally if spare rear racks are aided to support bikes etc. so the rear springs do sag after a while. These kits will restore the ride height, contra everyone who has had air assist suspension packages fitted to their vehicles all say they are also impressed with the added benefits of improved ride, improved cornering and being less prone to side winds and buffering by large trucks.. |
