The PneurideŽ range of semi air suspension systems are supplied by Dunlop Accessories and Components. Air cushion and bellows have been constructed, developed and manufactured by this company for more than 1/2 a century. The PneurideŽ semi air suspension kits have been designed in such a way that fitting will be well within the ability of a confident 'do it yourself' gent. The total number of parts has been minimised and no special gear are required.
Semi air suspension systems enable the vehicle ride height to be kept constant. They greatly increase stability, in particular For high-velocity motorway navigation - in a straight-line, when buffeted by strong sideway winds and whilst being overtaken by heavy vehicles. At lower speeds they significantly reduce body roll on round abouts and when cornering.
A rear end suspension uprated invent a semi air suspension system can be stiffened simply by increasing the air pressure in the bellows. The alleviates any sagging of the rear suspension due to imbalanced or extra loading.
Frequently people fit semi air suspension units to restore the rear travel height of a motorhome to its original level. Unlike vans, motorhomes are invariably fully laden.
