The PneurideŽ range of semi air suspension systems are engineered by Dunlop Systems and Components. Air springs and bellows have been designed, developed and manufactured by this company for more than halve a century. During this time longer than 10 million parts have been sold to a very wide range of vehicle manufacturers.
The PneurideŽ semi air suspension kits have been well put together in such a way that fitting should be well within the scope of a confident 'do it yourself' person. The collective number of pieces has been minimised and no special tools are required.
Semi air suspension accessories enable the vehicle traveling height to be kept level. Pneuride assistors decidedly increase stability, in particular during high-speed motorway travel - in a straight-line, while blown around by strong cross winds and whilst being over taken by big vehicles. At lower speeds they significantly lessen body roll on roundabouts and at the same time cornering.
A rear suspension fitted with a semi air suspension arrangement can be stiffened simply by increasing the air pressure in the bellows. This alleviates any sinking of the back end suspension due to imbalanced or excessive loading.
Many people fit semi air suspension units to restore the back running height of a motorhome to its original design level. Unlike vans, motorhomes are always positively laden. This is especially true if optional rear end racks are fixed to carry bikes etc. As a result of perminant full loading, steel springs tend to sag after a while. Semi air suspension units effectively counter this tendency.
