The PneurideŽ semi air suspension kits have been designed in such a way that fitting will be well within the scope of a self assured 'do it yourself' person. The total count of parts has been minimised and no special tools are required.
Semi air suspension systems make it possible for the auto ride height to be kept level. Pneuride air assistance awfully increase stability, in particular during high-speed motorway rides - in a straight-line, while buffeted by strong cross winds and whilst being overtaken by heavy vehicles. At lower speeds Pneuride air assit significantly reduce vehicle roll on roundabouts and when cornering.
A rear suspension modified with a semi air suspension system can be stiffened only by increasing the air pressure in the bellows. This alleviates any sagging of the rear suspension due to imbalanced or extra loading.
Many people fit semi air suspension units to improve the rear ride height of a motorhome to its manufacturers level. Unlike vans, motorhomes are always fully weighted. This is especially genuine if additional back racks are upgraded to carry two-wheelers etc. As a result of constant full loading, steel spring tend to sag after a while. Semi air suspension systems compently counter the tendency.
