The PneurideŽ range of semi air suspension kits are supplied by Dunlop Systems and Components. Air springs and bellows have been designed, developed and manufactured by this company for close to than half a century. During this time more than 10 million parts have been sold to a very wide range of vehicle manufacturers.
The PneurideŽ semi air suspension kits have been designed in such a way that fitting should be well within the scope of a confident 'do it yourself' person. The full number of parts has been minimised and no special tools are required.
Semi air suspension systems enable the auto ride height to be set elevated. They greatly increase stability, in particular during high-momentum motorway travel - in a straight-route, when blown around by strong cross winds and whilst being overtaken by heavy vehicles. At lower speeds they very much lessen body roll on roundabouts and when cornering.
A rear end suspension fitted with a semi air suspension arrangement can be stiffened solely by increasing the air pressure in the bellows. This alleviates any sagging of the rear end suspension due to imbalanced or over zealous loading.
Numerous people fit semi air suspension units to restore the rear ride height of a motorhome to its original level. Unlike vans, motorhomes are always fully laden. This is especially true if additional rear racks are fitted to carry bikes etc. As a result of persistent full loading, steel springs tend to sag after a spell. Semi air suspension units compently corrects this tendency.
