The PneurideŽ range of semi air suspension kits are supplied by Dunlop Systems and Components. Air springs and bellows have been designed, developed and manufactured by this company for more than halve a century. All this time around than 10 million parts have been sold to a very wide range of vehicle manufacturers.
The PneurideŽ semi air suspension kits have been designed in such a way that fitting should be well within the scope of a confident 'do it yourself' person. The total count of components has been minimised and no special equipment are required.
Semi air suspension systems lift the vehicle ride height to be kept level. Pneuride air assit kits greatly increase stability, in particular during high-speed motorway travel - in a straight-line, when buffeted by strong cross winds and whilst being over taken by heavy lorries. At lower speeds they significantly reduce body roll on roundabouts and when cornering.
A rear end suspension fitted recommend a semi air suspension system can be stiffened simply by raising the air pressure in the bellows. This aids any sagging of the rear suspension due to imbalanced or extra loading.
Many people fit semi air suspension units to restore the rear ride height of a motorhome to its original design level. Unlike vans, motorhomes are always greatly laden. This is principally exact if added rear racks are retro fitted to carry bikes etc. As a result of constant full loading, steel springs inclined to sag after a while. Semi air suspension units effectively counter this tendency.
