The PneurideŽ array of semi air suspension kits are created by Dunlop Systems and Components. Air spring and bellows have been designed, developed and fabricated by this company for more than half a century. During this time more than 10 million parts have been sold to a variable across-the-board range of vehicle manufacturers.
The PneurideŽ semi air suspension kits have been designed in such a way that fitting should be well within the scope of a confident 'do it yourself' person. The total ordinal of parts has been minimised and no special tools are required.
Semi air suspension kits achieve the automitive ride height to be kept level. Pneuride air assit kits greatly increase stability, in particular during high-speed motorway travel - in a straight-line, when buffeted by strong sideway winds and whilst being overtaken by heavy vehicles. At lower speeds Pneuride air kits significantly degrade body roll on roundabouts and at the same time cornering.
A rear suspension fitted present a semi air suspension kit can be stiffened werely by adding the air pressure in the bellows. The supports any sagging of the rear suspension due to imbalanced or excessive loading.
Many firm fit semi air suspension units to restore the rear end ride height of a motorhome to its original level. Unlike vans, motorhomes are forevermore fully laden. This is enormously exact if accessory rear racks are fitted to hold bikes etc. As a result of habitual full loading, steel springs tend to sag after a while. Semi air suspension units effectively counter this afliction.
