The PneurideŽ range of semi air suspension systems are supplied by Dunlop Systems and Components. Air springs and bellows have been well put together, created and fabricated by this company for close to than half a century. Amidst this time about than 10 million parts have been sold to a very wide range of vehicle manufacturers.
The PneurideŽ semi air suspension kits have been designed in such a way that fitting should be well within the capacity of a confident 'do it yourself' person. The total emblem of parts has been minimised and no special tools are required.
Semi air suspension accessories enable the automobile ride height to be kept even. They significantly increase stability, in particular Amidst high-speed motorway driving - in a straight-line, when blown around by strong cross winds and whilst being over-taken by chunky busses. At lower speeds they significantly reduce body roll on round abouts and while cornering.
A rear suspension fitted with a semi air suspension system can be bolstered simply by increasing the air P.S.I. in the bellows. This decreases any droping of the rear end suspension due to imbalanced or excessive loading.
Many people fit semi air suspension units to restore the rear travel height of a motorhome to its original level. Unlike vans, motorhomes are always abuntantly laden. This is especially true if additional rear racks are fitted to hold bikes etc. As a consiquence of of constant full loading, steel springs tend to sag after a while. Semi air suspension units compently counter this tendency.
