Pneuride Air Assist Kits

The PneurideŽ catalogue of semi air suspension systems are supplied by Dunlop Systems and Components. Air springs and bellows have been designed, developed and manufactured by this company for more than half a century. During this time much more than 10 million parts have been sent out to a very wide range of automobile manufacturers.

The PneurideŽ semi air suspension kits have been well put together in such a way any fitting should hopefully be well in the range of a self confident 'do it yourself' indevidual. The total number of pieces has been minimised and no special apparatus are required.

Semi air suspension systems enable the vehicle ride height to be maintained level. They greatly boost stability, in particular during high-speed motorway travel - in a straight-line, while buffeted by strong cross winds and whilst being overtaken by heavy artics. At lower speeds Pneuride air assistance significantly lessen body roll on roundabouts and when cornering.

A rear suspension fitted recommend a semi air suspension system can be stiffened simply by increasing the air P.S.I. in the bellows. This alleviates any sagging of the back end suspension due to imbalanced or excessive loading.

Many people fit semi air suspension units to pick up the rear ride height of a motorhome to its original design constant. Unlike vans, motorhomes are always greatly laden. This is generally true if additional rear racks are retro-fitted to support bikes etc. As a consiquence of of persistent full loading, steel springs tend to sag after a while. Semi air suspension systems effectively counter this tendency.
